University website design for the next generation
The University of Newcastle is a world-class institution with a primary campus in Newcastle and secondary campuses in Sydney, the Central Coast, Port Macquarie and Singapore.
We were approached to build an engaging new website for UoN Sydney that entices users to explore and ultimately register for short courses. Check out this innovative university website design below.

Driving enrolments in a new market
With well-defined navigation, course categorisation and simple filter and search functionality, website users can easily explore and find the short courses that interest them most. The carefully-crafted university website design gives visitors a taste of what to expect, boosting onsite engagement and enrolments in each course.



The complex,
simplified
A careful balance between form and function was key to displaying large amounts of content coherently.
Each page provided its own set of challenges, given the breadth and complexity of content needing to be displayed. Luckily, we’re masters at balancing utility with clarity. For instance, ‘Jump To’ links were implemented at the top of each course description so that users could quickly hop to specific sections.

The final result
The custom-designed website served as the UoN Sydney’s primary marketing and customer service tool, allowing students to browse courses, review outcomes, select dates and finalise enrolment in one easy process. This website design also landed our production manager, Kyle, a NEWi Award for Creative of the Year!
